Purpose:
Elected representatives from each floor in Collins come together to discuss the issues of the day and to promote floor programming by passing bills to provide money and assistance.

        Who are we?
Floor governors and the Vice President of BOG

        Meetings:
Every other Sunday at 7:00 p.m. in the Clubhouse Greatroom

BOG provides funding for floor programs, some of the cost of Collins-wide events, and whatever else we agree to fund out of the goodness of our hearts. BOP, E-Force, and philanthopy get funding allocations from us. BOG can also vote on backing a program (such as the smoking lounge proposal). BOG approves appointments to the Exec Board and J-Board. Changes to the Collins Constitution must also be brought before BOG.

        Some things we've funded:

        • horseback riding
        • pizza parties
        • Cocked and Ready literary magazine
        • sending Collins students to a leadership retreat
        • some Q-projects

        Important Policies:
We can do bills over e-mail if you're asking for less than 50 bucks. Anything else has to come to the meeting. BOG can help support charity events, but cannot donate directly to charity. The Vice President and governors can be impeached for getting in trouble with J-Board or for other reasons.

        Before you come:
E-mail the VP and/or secretary a copy of your bill by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting and let us know you want to come present it. (See How to Write a Bill.)
