Purpose:
To promote education in Collins by aiding in educational programming.

        Who are we?
Anyone may be a member of BOEP.

        Meetings:
Every other Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Room.

We fund educational programming and courses taught in Collins. The educational programming consists of Short Courses, guest speakers, and other educationally related programs. Collins is one of the few places where all the courses offered are chosen by students. By participating in BOEP, you become a part of the process of choosing those courses. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how the process of writing a course works. Plus, you can be sure that there are courses that interest you offered at Collins.

        Some things we've funded:

        • Films and other programs by the Collins Associates
        • Troy Stende's motivational talk, "Major In Success"
        • Short Courses (such as "The Fight Club," "Consumerism and its Discontents," and "Devil Sticks")
        • Field trips made by classes, such as a trip to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis
        • Alternative Spring Break Trip
        • Guest speakers for classes, such as Melinda Collins

        Before you come:
If you are requesting money, please fill out a pink project proposal form. If you're interested in joining BOEP, all you have to do is come to a meeting and you can be added to the e-mail list. You can also be added to the list by e-mailing jtschlaf.
